The Witches’ New Year is a gathering during the waning moon in the waning time of year to reflect on the year behind us and tune in to the one that lays before us.
1pm, Friday, Nov.2 — 1pm, Sunday, Nov.4
Coming on the heels of Hallowe’en/Samhain, (widely regarded as New Year’s Eve for witches), right before the New Moon in Scorpio, this retreat is for the ones who strongly feel the pull towards the Underworld Journey and want to prepare themselves well for the dark time of the year.
We’ll spend two full days (Friday lunchtime until Sunday lunchtime) doing practices to ignite our intuition, revive our ancestral skills and knowledge ways, and renew our connection with our guides, ourselves and spirit.
We’ll call back our lost and forgotten parts, guide home our dead, and tie up loose ends.
We’ll summon the strength and power of traditional Underworld guides of ancient Western and Proto-Indo European cultures including Persephone, Hecate, Inanna, Lilith, Medusa, Hel, Ereshkigal, Freya, Kali, Odin, and others. (Naturally, the guides of whatever your heritage are most, most welcome!)
We’ll focus our ritual and intent on developing the capacities inherent in the Scorpio New Moon: Empowerment, Crisis Skills, Change, Self-Mastery, Divination, and Sex/Soul Mates.
Lots of divination. Lots of trance journeys. Potion-making and spellcasting. Tarot. Bonfire. Ocean. Ritual.
And of course, food and wine.
