In every case of addiction,
there’s always
an abandonment wound.
You’re sober and know you need help staying that way.
I specialize in Addiction Recovery After-Care. You could be fresh out of rehab or clean 18 years. If you’re feeling as though your sobriety is compromised by the stress of life right now, you should come see me. Together, we’ll work through the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual underpinnings of your addiction.
Drawing on the seminal works of Dr.Bruce Alexander (The Roots of Addiction in Free Market Society), Dr.Gabor Mate (In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts), and Susan Anderson (The Journey from Abandonment to Healing), I use trance work (hypnotherapy and shamanic) to access the tap root of addiction and address it at the source.
I recorded a lecture on Healing the Abandonment Wound that describes my approach in detail. Please listen to this lecture to decide whether my approach is a good fit for you.
Using the Abandonment Therapy as a guideline, we’ll use trance work to heal the pain of the past, cut cords with whatever and whomever holds you there, and begin to create a new vision and map for the future. Our work together will involve somatic therapy (reconnecting to your body), releasing of shame and guilt, and learning how to open up to healthy, loving relationships.
We’ll re-build a strong sense of Self and restore a clear connection with the inner wisdom that’s been hidden inside you. You’ll reclaim lost and neglected parts of yourself: your creativity, your confidence, your self-worth and optimism. (Really – it’s possible for you.)
If you’d like to work together to ensure your recovery is deep and lasting, book an initial session with me. After that, expect to return 4-6 times over a 2-4 month period.
