YOU CAN TRANSCEND
Simply put, hypnotherapy is a re-education process through which the subconscious mind is trained to believe and want the same things as the conscious mind.
The first time we work together in hypnosis, your subconscious mind will be getting accustomed to my voice, the environment and sensory experience.
Most people report that hypnosis is a surprisingly relaxing experience. With the lights dimmed low, the soft music playing, and my voice guiding you into deeper, more expanded states of consciousness, you may find that hypnotherapy is an almost spa-like experience.
My areas of specialization include:
If you have thoughts that do more harm than good, hypnosis can help.
Although most of my clients come to me because we share an affinity of sorts around having a rich spiritual life, a good portion of the work I do with hypnotherapy has to do with what I think of as the fundamental life skills required to become fully human. This would include learning to manage:
Developmental Trauma (childhood and adult attachment wounds)
Shock trauma (PTSD, accidents, illness, bereavement and loss)
Depression and disconnection
Self-esteem and worthiness
Anxiety and stress
Despair related to ecological collapse and life in a capitalist/imperialist/patriarchal culture
I don’t need to know the horrific details of your wound or dis-ease to help you. (Unless you want me to. I can definitely be your witness and provide a mirror). I don’t believe you need to re-live trauma to heal it. I believe you are already the expert on your issue. I’m your objective observer and an expert in the subconscious mind, the mind-body interaction and behaviour change. I have tools and insight and experience. All you need is willingness.
It’s hard to say how many sessions will be required. Some goals are achieved in 3 sessions and are never an issue again. Other people prefer more of an on-going support and consider our work part of a monthly health+wellness routine, more like coaching than therapy.
I’m a Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, a designation that required over 150 hours of training plus 50 hours of supervision and practicum over two years. This designation also requires the maintenance of 30 annual hours of Continuing Education.
I’ve studied regression therapy with Dr.Jonni Gray and Dr.Brian Weiss. I’ve completed continuing education programs in PTSD and Trauma Recovery, Sports Performance, Transpersonal Healing, Emergency First Aid and more with the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, The American Hypnosis Association, and the Hypnosis Motivation Institute.
I am a past Board Member of the Association of Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists (ARCH) and former Vice President of the Canadian Association of Counselling Hypnotherapists (CACHE).
The number of trainings I’ve done in energy work and shamanic practice are too many to list but have certainly shaped my style and therapeutic approach.
