You’ve read the information. You’ve watched the videos. But maybe you still have some questions. No problem! I’m happy to try and cover all the bases.
What exactly will we be doing in this workshop?
Every workshop is slightly different since I customize them for the group. What is consistent across the board: they are jammed full of information and exercises. I maximize the time. You’ll want to have a journal and pen and likely some snacks.
Expect that there will be a brief comfort break every 1.5 hours and a different learning module or exercise every 30-45 minutes. The ratio of lecture to experiential exercise is about 1:4. I’m not a big fan of partner work, so anything I ask you to do with a stranger will be designed for “low awkwardness quotient”.
If you are taking a one-day Intuitive Development workshop, the program could look something like this:
- Introduction to Intuition and Risk (+ Honest Signals exercise)
- Your Body as Subconscious Mind (+ Yoga Nidra exercise)
- Identifying your Dominant Clairs and your Intuitive Style (+ quizzes and self-assessments)
- Creating Your Natural Resource Setting and Inner Temple (+ guided visualization)
- Calling in Your Guides (+ journey to Life-Between-Lives)
- Pendulum training (+how to make your own pendulum charts)
- Reading for Yourself and Others (+ spot reading exercises with mixed card decks)
How much is the workshop fee?
This varies depending on whether your group is self-directed (you’ve gotten a bunch of friends together to bring me in), community-based (you’re a non-profit or mission-based business), or a business enterprise. You can also hire me at my corporate daily rate so I can work with your group as well as meet with team members for private individual sessions. It all depends on your goals.
What is your cancellation policy?
Once we’ve agreed on a price and you’ve sent me the non-refundable deposit, you can cancel up to 14 days in advance. After that, I’ll only invoice you for 20% of our contract – that seems fair in light of opportunity cost and lost wages, I think.
Will there be any group work?
For some exercises, you will have to interact with other humans. If that’s problematic, we should talk about that sometime. Not about doing a workshop, but about the other stuff that prevents you from interacting with other humans. 😉
Yes, there are some exercises that will involve some structured interaction. Nothing intimate, self-disclosing or overly personal, though.
Will you make me do anything in front of people, like at the front of the room?
There will be absolutely no public shaming. Nobody will be alone at the front of the room, (except me).
My work is about harnessing power. When we gather together for this work, our intention is magnified and our power is amplified. It’s an incredible experience with the possibility to completely transform how you move through the world. Maybe that will be worth declaring at the front of the room, but nobody will ask you to.
I already work professionally in the healing/empowerment/intuitive field. Will I learn anything new?
I can’t guarantee you will learn anything new, but I can guarantee it will be an entirely unique experience. My work combines neuroscience, quantum physics, yoga, meditation, past life regression, clinical hypnotherapy, shamanism, First Nations ritual, entity attachment/releasement, the Four Shields work of Foster & Little, The Transformation Game, Quakerism, druidism, ecopsychology, mythology and the work of Joseph Campbell, Carol P. Christ, and Carl Jung, among other things. Plus, I usually accidentally drop a few f-bombs when I talk passionately about my favourite topics. (I am a work in progress, too.)
I have never done anything like this before. Will this be over my head?
You don’t need to have any prior experience with intuitive development. You don’t even need to believe in anything metaphysical. You only need to be curious about your inner workings.
If you are joining and Intuitive Development workshop, it might helpful to have at least visited a psychic, had your astrology chart done, consulted a card reader, or some other intuitive professional. Not only does that demonstrate your interest, curiosity and openness, but it’s also an excellent way to explore different ways to engage intuition.
Consulting intuitives and experiencing different modalities will help you recognize your own intuitive style and what feels like a good fit for you. You’ll have a head start because you’ll already have gotten “yes”, “no” or “that doesn’t sound right” signals from your own intuition as you received the information they gave you.
I work with/can sense energy and sometimes have what seem like intuitive “hunches”. Will this workshop help me develop my other intuitive senses?
Yes! People who are sensitive to energy have highly developed clairsentience and often clairvoyance. Most of us have one or two dominant clairs with which we are most comfortable. But everyone has the capacity to develop any clair they would like.
To clarify, (pardon the double-entendre), your “clairs” are your senses that you use to communicate with spirit.
Clairvoyance: A clear sense of seeing. This is a strong clair for you if you are a great visualizer, or you never forget a face, or grasp concepts best when they are drawn, diagrammed or projected on a screen. Maybe you’re a designer, photographer, or illustrator. Or maybe you just can’t live without colour in your life. For you, Beauty reigns.
Clairaudience: A clear sense of hearing. If you are a naturally gifted speaker, musician, writer, or if you have a knack for remembering a tune or lyric to a song, this could be your strongest clair. This one can sometimes be startling and with good reason. Are you hearing voices like, schizophrenic? Or like, spiritual opening? What’s the difference anyway? (At least, that was my personal experience). Don’t worry, I have clinical training now and can spot the difference!
Claircognizance: A clear sense of knowing. Facts just pop into your head and are recalled without effort. You rock at Trivial Pursuit and have unwavering conviction watching Jeopardy. You are probably a very enrolling and convincing sales person, entrepreneur or leader of people. You don’t remember things, exactly: you just know. (My aunt has this as a dominant clair and it’s wild! Ask me the story sometime of how she spilled the beans about the embezzling secretary).
Clairsentience: A clear sense of feeling. You are a born healer. You give a massage that melts the most knotted muscles.
(And you have magic hands between the sheets). You feel emotions acutely – your own and others’. You may have even pursued a career as a doctor of Eastern or Western medicine, nurse or reiki therapist. (Or perhaps as a burlesque performer, sex educator, or couples’ counsellor). You have an erotic relationship with the sensuousness of life and may have explored tantra or kundalini yoga.
I hope that helps!
